We have a department card in a blue folder/notebook at the Circ Desk. It can be used to reprint jobs for patrons when our equipment fails to print properly or to print for patrons who do not have Hobo Dough. They will pay for their prints at the cash register.

Papercut charges more for larger-sized paper. It costs $.79 per page for the large format in color—11 X 17" paper. Black and white printing on A4 sized paper will cost $.10 per page.

The older /tall KIC scanner is not connected to the internet, so patrons will have to save to a USB drive.
If a patron inserts a USB before starting to scan, they will not see an option to send email at all.
If a patron does not insert the USB first, they may try to send by email, but they’ll get an error message. At that point they can still plug in the USB and save the scan.
Patrons can borrow a USB drive from the Library Services Desk.

E-mail from the overhead scanner may show up in the patron's junk mail folder instead of their In Box. The sender is 'KIC Automatic' and the subject line is "Images from KIC Station."

If the KIC scanner gives this error message - "Scanning process was interrupted..." - follow the steps below:
Switch the scanner off and back on. The power button is located at the back of the scanner, next to the power cord plug.
If the problem persists, it might help to switch the scanner from "Book Mode" to another mode. KIC Tech support says: "This [error] could be due to scanning single sheets of paper with “Book Mode” selected as the scanning mode since “Book Mode” will look for a book gutter, when it doesn’t find one, it will throw that error.

Some government documents that look like normal PDF files might not print correctly. You might get a message implying that you need to update Adobe. Or the print preview might have some missing text. If you notice anything odd about a PDF when you try to print it, download the file first, then print it. Once it is downloaded, go into Adobe Reader or Acrobat and open the file from within the program. You should then be able to print.
