E-books at Briggs Library: Download Ebsco E-books to a Nook

Briggs has e-books in many different collections. This guide will help you find and use them.

Download an Ebsco e-Book to a Nook

You will need a free account in Ebsco to download books. Sign in to Ebsco.

Search Ebsco e-Books for the book you want.

If the book has the option to Download it, click on that option.

Choose the period you want to check the book out for. Different books may have different options here. Note that you cannot return a book early in this system. Click Checkout & Download.

Choose the loan period

You should get a message that the book was checked out and then be asked whether to open or save it. Choose save it.

Connect your Nook to your computer using a USB/mini USB cable and go to the File Manager on your computer.

Go to the Downloads Folder and find the file. You can rename the file by clicking on it, waiting a couple seconds then clicking on it again (do not double click either time). When the title is highlighted by itself, type a new name for the file.

If your Nook prompts you too, unlock it.

Drag and drop the file into the Digital Editions folder on your Nook.

Eject your Nook by right clicking on the Nook drive then choosing Eject from the list.
