You can create a free account in ProQuest that will allow you to checkout and download most ProQuest ebooks to read on a portable device. You can check books out for 21 days. You can also check books in early if you are finished with one and are using Adobe Digital Editions to read it.
You can create a free account in ProQuest that will allow you to download e-books and read them offline.
When you click the login icon in the upper right corner of the ProQuest page, you will be taken to your SDSU login page.
Use your regular credentials to log in. For students that is your MyState username and password.
Downloading a ProQuest e-book requires that you have an ProQuest account and are logged into that account. For more information on creating an account, see the box above.
You can download an entire book or just a portion of a book.
To download an entire book, click on Downloads and Loans on the left side of the record. Most books allow download but not all. If this option is not listed, the book cannot be downloaded and must be read online.
Choose the book you would like to download by clicking on the title.
To download the entire book, choose the down arrow that is first in the icons above the book cover (with a red square around it below); to download a chapter, click on the pdf icon that is second in the row of icons (with a blue oval around it below).
Follow the prompts to complete the download.
