Each different collection or app will have different methods of obtaining books. Most are straight-forward - just open the book or the pdf and your iPad will do the work. Many Ebsco e-Books can be downloaded and the steps are a bit more complicated so instructions are below. There are links to the right for various e-readers you might need to read various types of books on your iPad.
Ebsco e-books for iPad uses the Ebsco e-books app. You can get this app from the iTunes App Store.
Sign in to your free Ebsco account
If you don't have an ebsco account, create one. See the box below for information on creating an Ebsco account.
Search Ebsco e-books for books you would like to read.
Tap on Download (Offline).
Note that not all books can be downloaded.
Choose how long to check the book out for. Some books have the option of 1 to 3 or 1 to 7 days then touch "Checkout & Download".
When the book is checked out, you will get the message that it is checked out and you can finish downloading the book. Touch the Download This eBook (Offline) link.
Touch Open in "Bluefire..."
The book should appear in BlueFire Reader and you can choose to open it and read it now or read it later.
