You may find it easier to use Google to search for books related to a company. Some companies will have one or many books published about them. You may also find books about or by a company's founder (like Sam Walton's, the founder of Walmart, autobiography), or about a specific scandal a company went through (like The Smartest Guys in the Room, which is about the fall of Enron).
Some companies may be more difficult. It's possible that the company is relatively new or just that there haven't been a ton of books published. You might try looking for:
If you find a book on Google, refer to the above box to see if Briggs has it available. If the book is not available at Briggs, try Interlibrary Loan.
Interlibrary Loan (aka ILL) is a free service for SDSU students, faculty, and staff. When you submit an ILL request for a book or journal article, we ask other libraries to loan us that source, so you can access it for free.
If you would like to request a book through ILL, go to the library's homepage and click on "Interlibrary Loan" in the blue box in the center of the page. You may have to log in with your SDSU email and password.
To request a book, click the blue "Create request" button. The default request form is a journal article, so click on "Book (Loan) if you'd like a book. Fill out all the information you have about the book (title, author, year published, etc.), and then fill out your personal information (SDSU email and ID number). Then click the blue "Submit Request" button.
If you have requested a book, it is highly likely you will receive the book in print. You will get an email when the book is ready to be picked up from the library. If you have requested a journal article, it is highly likely you will receive the article electronically. You will get an email when the article is ready for you to download.
If you have any questions about ILL, feel free to email Kristin (kristin.echtenkamp@sdstate.edu) or use the library chat anytime.
