Creating a Profile in ORCiD
1. Navigate to ORCiD's registration page, https://orcid.org/register. You may only create an ORCiD ID once; if you believe you created one, you can go through the password reset process here: https://orcid.org/signin
2. Fill out the information needed. Likely your primary email will be your institutional email (@sdstate.edu), but you can use a different email or add additional emails if needed. Click "Next Step."
3. Create your ORCiD ID by creating a password and then clicking "Next Step." You will need to verify your email. Then your account is registered! Make sure you note your ORCiD ID somewhere so you can access it if you forget.
4. Once your account has been created, add your information. Add your research summary to the "Biography" section. You can add additional emails, other profile links, as well as employment and article information. You can decide what you'd like to be visible/public.
