Open PRAIRIE is SDSU's institutional repository. It is a great place to find research articles, theses and dissertations, and datasets created and executed by SDSU faculty and students. If you are interested in adding your own work to Open PRARIE, contact Michael Biondo (michael.biondo@sdstate.edu).
Geography is the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources, land use, and industries.
Geospatial science is the study and analysis of spatially references data, meaning information that is associated with a specific location on Earth. Geospatial Science focuses on understanding the relationship between people, places, and the environment. It employs technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Position Systems (GPS) to help scientists collect, manage, and analyze geographic data concerning patterns, trends, and relationships across space.
Databases work as a one-stop-shop to find a variety of types of information. Different databases include articles from scholarly journals, newspaper articles, conference proceedings, images, technical reports, and much more. Explore the databases below for information related to Geography and Geospatial Science, and find more databases on the A-Z databases page.
