The Websites tab of this guide has a list of play sources. Some of these sources include access to the scripts include Simply Scripts and Internet Shakespear Editions, and American Variety Stage.

Document Delivery Monologues

Below are books monologue books in the library. The titles are linked to tables of contents (you may have to scroll to the bottom of the page). If there is a monologue you would like from one of these books, please request it through Interlibrary Loan (more on this below). We will scan the monologue for you and get it to you electronically in 1-2 working days.

Request a monologue

  • Click on the title of the book that has the monologue you want.
    • This will take you to the WorldCat record for the book.
  • Scroll down under the main record to where is says "Find a copy in the library" and right above that is a link for Interlibrary Loan.

  • Click on Interlibrary Loan (as shown above).
  • Log in using your university credentials.
  • Scroll down and click on Submit Request.

Interlibrary Loan

Although Briggs Library has an extensive collection, you may need items that are not available at the Library. No worries! You can request those articles, books, and other materials through Interlibrary Loan.

Keep in mind that the process may take several days for articles and ebooks and longer for print books. We encourage you to start your research early!

Many of our databases have an Interlibrary Loan Request button for articles not available in that particular database. Before submitting the loan request, be sure to check our Journals List for the title of the source or periodical (i.e. New York Times).
