The Congressional Information Service (CIS) provides comprehensive coverage of a wide range of subjects covered in Congressional committee reports, journals, manuals and administrative reports, Executive reports and The American State Papers. Miscellaneous Executive branch publications indexed include reports, bulletins and annual reports of Executive agencies and some serial publications.

Briggs Library has an extensive historical collection of the U.S. Congressional Serial Set. Included within this collection are annual reports of federal agencies dating back to the 1800s including annual reports of the Department of Interior and the Bureau of Ethnology.
