Dual Credit and Other Non-SDSU Students: If your home institution is not SDSU, but another BOR university, you will need to contact the SDSU Support Desk (605-688-6776 or SDSU.SupportDesk@sdstate.edu) for assistance with activating your SDSU email account.

On-campus users will not require a login.

Resources for Distance Students

Distance Library Services

Hilton M. Briggs Library provides resources and services for all members of the SDSU community, including students, faculty, and staff who do not make regular (at least weekly) trips to the Brookings area. This includes students taking distance courses, graduate students who are completing theses or dissertations, faculty on sabbatical, and faculty and staff who work at locations other than SDSU's main campus.

Article Delivery – Articles and other materials from Hilton M. Briggs Library and from other libraries can be delivered to you online, but are occasionally sent by U.S. mail or fax.

Book/Video Delivery - Briggs Library lends books and other items that we own. We also supply materials from other libraries worldwide.

Submit requests for articles, books, videos, or other materials through your interlibrary loan account. Create an account or submit a request.

Materials owned by Briggs Library are sent within three (3) working days after we receive your request and items obtained from other libraries generally take an additional 5-7 working days. Books and other loans are sent free of charge but the borrower is responsible for return postage or shipping. South Dakota residents may be able to return materials to their local library at no cost. Copies of SDSU materials and items obtained from other libraries are typically delivered free of charge.
